At a DRA hearing last night Charlie Mulgrew and Declan Bonner challenged the process of appointing the Donegal senior football team manager and sought to have the process recommenced. The Tribunal has reserved its decision.

The Parties to the dispute have been advised of the nature of the procedural irregularities referred to in the statement from the Tribunal of 23rd July 2008.
The full resaoned decision of the Tribunal will not be published until after the conclusion of disciplinary action against Mr. Galvin in order not to prejudice those proceedings.

Re: Paul Galvin
The DRA Tribunal which sat on the 15 th and 21 st July 2008 has quashed the Decision of the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) made on the 23 rd June 2008 in respect of Mr. Paul Galvin
Whilst Mr. Galvin accepted that an incident happened on the 15 th June 2008 which warranted the commencement of disciplinary proceedings, the DRA Tribunal is of the view that procedural irregularities occurred at the CHC hearing on the 23 rd June 2008 which were in breach of his right to fair procedures and to a fair hearing.
The DRA Tribunal has directed as follows:
(a) that the matter be re-heard by a newly convened and differently constituted CHC as soon as possible; and
(b) that Mr. Galvin remains suspended in the interim period and is not eligible to play Gaelic games until the disciplinary process has been concluded.

At a hearing last night Wexford were unsuccessful in their application to overturn the decision of the CCC to allow Cork remain in the NHL.

Re: Carlow IT v CAC
At a hearing today before a DRA Tribunal the CAC accepted that their decision, allowing an Appeal by Garda College GAA Club against a decision of Comhairle Ardoideachais (CA) that the Garda College Club had played an ineligible player (Graham Dillon) in a Sigerson Cup game, should be quashed because of a procedural irregularity.
The CAC, Carlow IT, CA, the Garda College and the player in question then agreed that the DRA should determine whether the player was entitled to play. Following a hearing, the Tribunal held that Mr. Dillon was entitled to play and, consequently, the objection by Carlow IT to his participation in the Sigerson Cup competiton fails.

Re: Mark Conway and Others
At a hearing tonight the Claimants sought to amend their Claim as a consequence of changed circumstances since the original hearing on 25th January 2008. The Tribunal ruled that they did not have juristiction, as a matter of law, to allow the amendment sought.
The Claimants did not proceed with their Claim and the parties each agreed to bear their own costs and to share equally the expenses of the DRA.

A DRA Tribunal, tonight adjourned the hearing of a Request for Arbitration by Marcas O Conbhuí and Others to a date after the GAA's Annual Congress on 11th April 2008 but gave them liberty to apply to the Tribunal in the interim, if necessay.

At a hearing in Castleknock, Co. Dublin today, a DRA Tribunal held that it did not have jurisdiction to hear an application by the Central Council of the GAA to quash a decision of its own sub-committee, the Central Appeals Committee (CAC).

At a hearing in Portlaoise today a DRA Tribunal refused applications by Diarmuid O'Sullivan, Seán Og O hAilpín and Dónal Og Cusack to remove suspensions imposed on them arising out of incidents prior to the Cork v Clare Munster SHC game on 27th May 2007.

Re: Paddy Bradley
At a hearing last night in Monaghan, a DRA Tribunal found that the suspension imposed on Paddy Bradley by the Derry Hearings Committee was done in breach of fair procedures and referred the matter back to them for re-hearing. The Tribunal put a stay on the operation of the suspension pending the re-hearing.

Re: Gary Mullins v North American County Board
Following a hearing on 13th October 2006 Gary Mullins' application to the DRA to remove a suspension imposed on him by the North American County Board (NACB) was refused. The DRA Tribunal noted that the NACB were prepared to facilitate him with an appeal hearing.

Re: Mattie Forde v CDC & CAC
At a hearing in Dunboyne last night a DRA Tribunal directed that the CDC clarify with the match referee whether or not he saw the alleged "stamping" incident involving Mattie Forde in the Leinster SFC match between Wexford and Offaly on 2nd July 2006.
Following the Tribunal's decision, Mattie Forde indicated that he did not wish to proceed further with the matter and opted to accept the penalty which had been imposed by the CDC.

Following a hearing tonight a tribunal of the DRA found that Mark Vaughan was eligible to play for Kilmacud Crokes against St. Brigid's on 20th May 2005 and the objection of St. Brigid's was, accordingly, rejected. A written decision will follow later.
